Schaffrath is one of the largest department store chains in Germany. Every year they organize a Food&Family day at each branch. A festival area is then set up at the store entrance with children's games, clowns, music and food trucks. Everyone is welcome to attend. And customers are given coupons with which they can pay at the food trucks.

This year we were asked to scoop ice cream with an ice cream cart at 3 of their festivals in Krefeld, Mönchengladbach and Düsseldorf. The weather did not help: on one of the days it was 36 degrees, on another day it rained almost the entire afternoon. Nevertheless, it was very pleasant and our ice cream cart was the most crowded food truck. Even on the day with a lot of rain.
